What Have We Been Up To?

                  We have been such slackers!! Sorry family and friends for the long wait, but here are some updates.    April was full of fun! The boys love a chance to ride the four wheeler.

                                 Easter morning, what a wonderful way to wake up! Wes and Coop came out of the bedroom ready for the search.

Bampa came to visit us one fine afternoon. The boys were beyond excited to have him here! They asked for him about every two minutes until he arrived. We spent the entire day out in the garden and riding bikes. We sure love him and it was so nice to have him for a day!

Project: Tomatoes. Let me tell you about some serious science experiments in the Young home. Ben is such a clever man. He began by sprouting some tomato seeds under our fridge. Yes, I said under our fridge. Then Ben rigged this contraption up right under our kitchen light. They grew like crazy! The kitchen was a little dark for a while, but well worth it. We now have some whopping  tomato plants in the garden.

Happy Birthday to Wesser!! He is 5 and loving it!! I cannot believe he is getting so old. He is also getting so tall! We keep track of the growth of the boys inside the closet door. Each time Wes comes, he runs over to the closet to be measured.

Wes was very excited to get Guess Who for his birthday and a card full of cash from his cousin in Missouri. Thanks Stili and Sam!

             Our flag!! Ben made us a lovely flag post. Now we can show our patriotism!!

Yo Wuz up!! Look at these cool cats. We are one our way to the zoo. Wes wanted to celebrate his birthday the animals. After, we had a fun picnic at the park and then over to Fun Land to ride the train. What great adventure we had that day!

I love this picture. First of all, it is true, Ben's wing span is as long as an eagle's. Second, someday these boys are going to be just as big or bigger than Ben . We want to cherish every moment with these little guys.

Our mama cat just had the cutest bunch of kittens! The boys love them and we are pretty fond of them too. Though we do not plan on keeping a single one. So if any one is looking for a kitten......

Talk about some back breaking work. Ben has our horse fence almost complete. Look at all the hard work he did in a day! This man amazes me and his talents truly bless our entire family. Thanks Ben!!

Remember those tomatoes in the kitchen? Well, here they are at the beginning of the summer. You gotta see them now! We will post a newer pic real soon.

Good old Tori. She sure keeps Ben on his toes. He loves to take her out riding and always has a good story when he returns. In May, Ben and his good friend Steve, went riding 15 miles up Palisades. I hear Tori did a great job.

Coop and his great pal Verla. We love this woman! Stan and Verla are our back neighbors and the boys absolutely love them. We always know where to go looking if we can't find one of the boys!

Here is our corn crop at the beginning of the summer. Boy, has it grown!! The boys helped us with the entire process. Wes is one of the weed spotters I know . Coop can walk through rows of corn and only step on about every other one. They are such a great help!
